GossipGarden and Birdeye, side by side: price, features and screening
Birdeye's pricing page shows a quote form, not a price, so its figures here are from published third-party sources, dated and named. This page also covers what its review requests include and whether they screen customers.

What Birdeye costs
Everything below was checked 16 October 2026. As captured by the Internet Archive on 4 October 2026, Birdeye's pricing page is a form that asks for your business email, company, number of locations and contact details, with a “GET PRICING” button and no price [1]. Birdeye's own site returned an error to our automated reader on 16 October 2026, so we read that capture.
From published third-party sources, the range is about $299 to $449 per location per month [3][4]. CostBench, on a page it says was last verified on 26 August 2026, lists Starter at $299, Growth at $349 and Dominate at $449 per location per month [3]. Contractor ToolStack, updated 30 July 2026, lists the same three figures and says “Prices are per location, billed annually” [4]. Those plan names match tiles Birdeye's own pricing page showed on 5 May 2026, marked “/location/month” with the amount still loading [2]. Both are comparison sites, not Birdeye, and neither can say what Birdeye would quote you.
Birdeye's terms, effective 13 May 2026, say that unless an order form says otherwise an agreement renews for the same period as its initial term, unless written notice of non-renewal is given to Birdeye at least 90 days before renewal [5]. They also say that, except as the terms provide otherwise, payment obligations under an order form are non-cancellable and payments made are non-refundable [5]. The terms do not state the length of the initial term, and we could not find it published [5].
Birdeye prices by location, and its plan tiles bundle reviews with listings, messaging, social, a chatbot, campaigns, team chat and payments [2]. A comparison with a tool that sends review requests is not like for like.
What Birdeye's review requests include
The 4 October 2026 capture shows no plan names [1]. The latest tile layout we found is from 5 May 2026. Its Starter tile listed Reviews AI, Listings AI and Messaging AI, Growth added Social AI, and Dominate added Chatbot AI [2].
Birdeye's help center says it can help you “generate, manage, and amplify reviews on Google, Facebook, and 200+ industry review sites” [6]. A request template lets you “Select up to four review sites where you want your customers to leave reviews” [12].
You can send requests by email or text from the dashboard (Birdeye calls this “Quick Send”), through a check-in link, from the mobile app, in bulk to all or selected contacts, or automatically through a CMS integration, SFTP, API or automated campaigns [11].
The Review Generation Agent, described in an article dated 8 September 2026, sends review requests to checked-in contacts using predefined templates. It can test up to five templates and use “smart targeting” for send times. A delay can be set “Until an event occurs,” such as a click on the link, with “Send email reminder” as a fallback [13].
Does Birdeye screen customers before the review ask?
Google's Maps policy, as read on 16 October 2026, says merchants may not “discourage or prohibit negative reviews, or selectively solicit positive reviews from customers” [7].
Birdeye's help center says a review request gives recipients two options. They “have the option to leave a public review for you on one of the review sites mentioned in the request email/text or send you a private message by clicking on the ‘Contact us directly’ button,” which Birdeye calls Direct Feedback [8]. The request-template article, dated 27 February 2026, describes no rating step before those choices [12].
Birdeye's terms of service forbid clients from gating. They say: “Client's use of the BirdEye platform cannot implement any form of review gating.” They also say clients “must provide all recipients the same options to provide feedback, regardless of their sentiment,” and that this applies to standard review templates, custom email templates and surveys [5].
A Birdeye help article dated 12 May 2026 covers Google's review policy. It lists “Encouraging only satisfied customers to leave reviews” among the practices to avoid, and it tells clients to remove “Conditional flows that direct unhappy customers away from Google” from their review templates [9].
Birdeye also has a separate Customer Experience template. Its help article, dated 18 November 2025, says businesses can use it to “gauge customer sentiment using three different scales - NPS (Net Promoter Score), 5-Star Rating or Sentiment buttons,” and that you can enable or disable its “Review request page” with a toggle [14]. The article does not say whether that page is shown only for some ratings. A separate article says “Experience score filters are not available in ‘Review,’ ‘Survey,’ and ‘Customer experience’ campaigns to avoid review gating” [15]. The same article says that in referrals and custom campaigns “you can use the experience score filter to target the audience based on their experience” [15].
GossipGarden has no rating step and no setting that could add one. Every customer you add gets the same ask.
The case for GossipGarden
If you run one business and want the ask sent after each job, GossipGarden does that and little else. You add the customer. We email your review link from your business's name, and one polite reminder follows 72 hours later by default. Every customer gets the same ask, and nobody is filtered, screened or routed by rating or sentiment.
Birdeye lets you send from the dashboard, a check-in link, the mobile app, bulk lists, SFTP, an API or a CMS integration [11]. GossipGarden has fewer ways in: typing a customer in, importing a CSV file, sharing a Google Sheet that we read every 15 minutes, or a private webhook from Zapier, Make or Housecall Pro. We ask on Google first, and on Facebook, Tripadvisor, Trustpilot, BBB and Apple Maps. We never ask on Yelp, because Yelp asks businesses not to solicit reviews [17].
GossipGarden costs $29 a month. Texting is not switched on yet, so every request goes by email today. It has no listings, chatbot, team chat or payments tools.
Side by side, on the facts we can check for both:

When Birdeye is the better choice
Birdeye is a larger platform, and for some owners that is the point. It is the better choice if any of these describe you.
- You run several locations or a franchise. Birdeye's pricing form offers location counts from 1-3 up to 1000+, and its plans are priced per location [1][2].
- You need reviews on many sites. Birdeye describes Google, Facebook and “200+ industry review sites” [6]. GossipGarden asks on six sites.
- You want listings, social, messaging, a chatbot, campaigns and payments on the same platform as your reviews. Birdeye's plan tiles list them [2].
- Your software already has a Birdeye connection. Birdeye's help center documents integrations with Jobber, ServiceTitan, Housecall Pro, QuickBooks Online and Desktop, Square, ServiceM8 and Service Fusion [16], and ServiceTitan's own integrations list includes Birdeye [10]. Requests can also be automated over SFTP or an API [11]. GossipGarden has no native integrations.
- You want to test request templates against each other. The Review Generation Agent supports up to five templates and “smart targeting” for send times [13].
- You want requests by text as well as email. Birdeye sends both [11]. GossipGarden sends email only today.
Questions about Birdeye and GossipGarden
- Is the third-party price range what Birdeye will charge me?
- Not necessarily. Those figures come from third-party sites, not from Birdeye [3][4]. Birdeye's pricing page asks for your number of locations [1], so ask Birdeye for a quote for your own.
- Does GossipGarden send review requests by text?
- Not yet. Texting is not switched on, so every request goes by email today. Birdeye sends email and text [11].

Every customer gets the same ask. GossipGarden never filters, screens or routes anyone by rating or sentiment. Why that matters.
