What Jobber charges for review requests

Prices below were checked 16 October 2026. They are as published by Jobber on its pricing page [1]. Jobber sells review requests as Reviews inside Marketing Suite [2], and the add-ons list on the page shows Marketing Suite and no separate Reviews add-on [1].

  • Marketing Suite is $99 a month as an add-on on the Core, Connect and Grow plans [1].
  • Marketing Suite is included on the Plus plan, which Jobber lists as starting at $399 a month billed annually, or $499 a month with no commitment, with five users included [1].
  • You need a Jobber plan first. For one user, Core is $49 a month with no commitment, $39 with a one-year commitment, and lower again billed annually [1].

Marketing Suite also holds Campaigns, Referrals, Job Showcase, Social Posting and a Marketing Plan [2]. Jobber says add-ons are a monthly subscription and are not available annually [2]. So adding review requests to a Jobber plan costs $99 a month unless you are on Plus, and the $99 covers the rest of the suite too [1][2].

What Jobber's review requests include

Jobber's feature page describes “automatic requests after every job” [3]. Its help article “Reviews | Marketing Tools,” last updated 18 August 2026, says a client receives “a text message, email, or both, depending on your delivery preferences,” with a Google review link [4].

Requests can go out when a job closes, when a visit is completed or when an invoice is paid [4]. With partial payments, no request goes out until the invoice is paid in full [4].

The article lists a first follow-up “3 days later at 1:30 PM” and a second “5 days later at 1:30 PM” [4]. Jobber “only sends one review request to a given client every 6 months, even if this setting is configured to trigger after every visit in a recurring job” [4].

Each client has an “Ask for review” setting in their communication settings, and Jobber flags a client whose name matches someone who has already left you a Google review [4].

Reviews needs a verified Google Business Profile connected to your Jobber account, and the article describes Google reviews only [4]. The dashboard shows average rating and total reviews, with AI-suggested replies and competitor insights [4].

Does Jobber screen customers before the review ask?

Google's Maps policy, as read on 16 October 2026, says merchants may not “discourage or prohibit negative reviews, or selectively solicit positive reviews from customers” [5].

We found no screening step, rating step or private-feedback route in Jobber's Reviews documentation [4]. The article's opening line says requests go to “your preferred clients” and does not say how Jobber decides who they are [4]. The help article's only mention of negative feedback is about replying publicly: “in the case of negative feedback, replying to the review is an opportunity to publicly showcase how you handle these situations” [4].

Jobber has a separate feature, Job follow-ups, available on select plans [6]. It can include an optional survey question, described as “a 1-10 response to the question that you decide to send out,” followed by a feedback form that Jobber hosts for you [6]. The article, last updated 14 May 2025, does not say the answer is connected to the review ask or to Reviews.

GossipGarden has no rating step and no setting that could add one. Every customer you add gets the same ask.

The case for GossipGarden

GossipGarden is for the owner who wants the ask without the rest of a suite. After a job, you add the customer. We email your review link from your business's name, and one polite reminder follows 72 hours later by default. Every customer gets the same ask. Nobody is filtered, screened or routed by rating or sentiment.

You add customers to GossipGarden yourself, and it has no link to Jobber today. You can type them in, import a CSV file, or share a Google Sheet that we read every 15 minutes. A webhook from Zapier, Make or Housecall Pro can add them too. The first email goes out within about 10 minutes of adding the customer, inside your sending hours, which are 8am to 8pm by default.

We ask on Google first, and on Facebook, Tripadvisor, Trustpilot, BBB and Apple Maps. We never ask on Yelp, because Yelp asks businesses not to solicit reviews [7].

GossipGarden costs $29 a month and sends review requests. Texting is not switched on yet, so every request goes by email today. Side by side, on the facts we can check for both:

When Jobber is the better choice

Jobber's Reviews sits inside the system that already runs your jobs. It is the better choice if any of these describe you.

  • You already run quotes, scheduling, invoicing and payments in Jobber and want everything in one product with nothing to link up. Requests start from the job record, when a job closes, a visit is completed or an invoice is paid, and the reply tool sits beside the reviews [4].
  • You want the rest of the suite too. Marketing Suite adds campaigns, referrals, job showcases and social posting [2], and on Plus it is included [1].
  • You want requests by text as well as email. Jobber sends “a text message, email, or both” [4]. GossipGarden sends email only today.
  • You prefer one vendor and one bill.

Questions about Jobber Reviews and GossipGarden

Is there still a Jobber Reviews add-on?
On 16 October 2026 the add-ons list on Jobber's pricing page shows Marketing Suite and no separate Reviews add-on [1], and Jobber's help center says Marketing Suite includes Reviews [2]. We could not confirm whether an older account can still add Reviews alone.
How do the two prices compare?
Marketing Suite is $99 a month on top of a Jobber plan [1]. GossipGarden is $29 a month. The suite also holds campaigns, referrals and social posting [2], so compare the part you would use.
Does GossipGarden send review requests by text?
Not yet. Texting is not switched on, so every request goes by email today. Jobber sends text, email or both [4].
